Nanofiltration

Nanofiltation processes are efficient techniques to clean water and to remove humus, non-organic materials, bacteria and viruses. Unfortunately the process is so efficient that it also removes desired minerals from the water. In order to re-mineralize and increase the calcium level in the water, CC food® can be used.

The advantages are:

  • Easy dosage of the liquid CC food® with a pump
  • Exact quantity of calcium ions in CC food®
  • Rapid availability of the ions compared to lime

Desalinated sea-water & Naturally soft water

Thanks to the high availability of the calcium ions in CC food® the product can be added in two cases:

  • Sea water that has been desalinated by reverse osmosis. In order to provide minerals CC food® can be chosen instead of lime-based technology. The reason is that calcium is up to 1000 times more soluble in the form of CC food® than in lime. Consequently the process is more cost-efficient and smaller quantities will be used. It is also a quicker and more reliable process.
  • In order to increase the mineral content in very soft natural water CC food® can be used. It will result in a water with better taste and also less corrosive.
